So, a few nights ago I had a dream that I saw Sam in the street, stumbling around looking drunk or super confused, and when I approached him his eyes were yellow. He didn't seem aware that he was evil (or supposed to be evil?) but I sort of felt sick at the sight of him. On the one hand, I didn't want to stick around for him to turn on me, but at the same time I didn't want to leave him stumbling around where he could hurt somebody...

I decided to leave him, but by that point I'd already engaged with him a little - a big mistake. Much like engaging with a drunken hobo or a stray dog, he kept trying to follow me around! He was literally stumbling around behind me with yellow eyes everywhere I went. Like a zombie or something.

*shudder*

It was really scary. :(

I really resent the fact that the Supernatural writers can't write a likeable, non-pointless female character for the show (unless they intend for her to not be around for very long) and because of this we, the fans, have somehow got a rep for being unwelcoming to female characters.

The fuck?

Sorry writers, but if your idea of strong, well-written women are ones who dump a pile of knickers on the kitchen table to get a guy's attention or ones who start off coo-coo but suddenly sprout a 'grace' that's hidden in a tree, then no wonder we can't accept them, and if your idea of a great female villian is yet another sex-pot with an excuse or some redeeming quality (something your male villians are rarely ever granted) then I feel sorry for whatever shows you invade in the future.

Finally when you give us the irredeemable bitch we've been needing, you cast the most bland actress on the face of the planet to say all her lines like she's reading and noticably watch the floor for her scene markers.

Just.
So, this is just something that happened. It's not very long and I haven't specified the names of the characters. I'd be intrigued to know who you imagined...

Title: Like Having No Identity
Rating: R, I guess?
Pairing: The Artist/The Subject (m/m)
Summary: A shy student, in need of money and about to drop out of college, poses nude for an older artist.
Word count: 590

“So why do you-” he stumbles on the words a bit, coughs quietly and tries to calm his breathing. For minutes now the artist’s eyes have been shifting from him to the canvas and back, intense, studying every inch of him. “Why do you paint nude portraits instead of just portraits?”

There’s a long pause in which the older man says nothing, sweeps his wrist somewhere along the painting. When he steps away from the easel he doesn’t speak, just lifts one heavy, calloused hand – he claims he’s always been a painter by trade, but he has working man’s hands that say different – to scratch at his jaw, careful not to leave a streak of paint in it’s wake.

“Have you ever looked at yourself?” he asks, smiles. “Naked, I mean.”

“In the bathroom mirror, I guess.” he shrugs. He’s not all rock-hard abs and muscle - nothing like the kind of Adonis these artists usually look for – but he’s tall and lean, he’s got strong arms that taper off to almost delicate fingers and his athlete’s legs are dusted with fine, light hair.

“You’re fascinating.”

He feels awkward for just a second. He’s never been spoken to like that before. He had a boyfriend who’d fuck him hard with his eyes closed and tell him how ‘fucking hot’ he was. It never got him off, never flattered him any, but he has to swallow down an embarrassing sound, try to force back his flush, at the fact that being told he’s fascinating by an honest to god man with smile lines and a dusting of salt-and-pepper in his hair makes his stomach tighten.

He doesn’t look down at himself, hasn’t ever done so in these sessions. He doesn’t want to try seeing his body through the eyes of this man, this artist, probably used to something akin to perfection. “Why…I mean, artists like you usually paint women, don’t they? Women who’re an interesting...um, shape?”

“Oh,” he chuckles deep, a low rumble. “Trust me I can appreciate any woman with an interesting shape, good hips, thighs…” He says it like he means it, like those paint splattered hands have travelled the curves and shapes of many a woman, but when he speaks again his voice is low, his eyes locked directly on those of his subject. “But there are a thousand pictures of those women. I like to paint things that can make a person stop in their tracks…make their hearts thump in their chests as the blood rushes to their groin.”

“You’re bisexual.” It’s not a guess, not hanging like a question. He’s made it too blatant for that.

The artist smiles, all amusement, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “That a problem?”

He’s never explicitly stated that he likes men, not here, and he isn’t about to. Despite the way being naked with this man makes his hands shake and his upper lip bead with perspiration, he likes how he feels here. Having no clothes feels something like having no identity, no sexuality.

“It’s not a problem.”

The artist, who’d waited patiently for an answer, lets his smile widen into a grin, perfectly friendly, if not a little predatory. “Good. So you won’t mind getting yourself hard before our next session then.”

He’s not sure if it’s the shock of the request or the idea of having to maintain an erection for an entire session, but his breath catches and the shaking of his hands starts up again. When their eyes meet once again just to the left of the easel though, he knows that he couldn’t say no even if he wanted to.

Fin.

...but have any of you seen Push?

As I sat and watched it, I had this uncomfortable feeling wash over me, because it felt like Chris Evans had more chemistry with Dakota Fanning than he did with Camilla Belle. And I'm like, okay, in the future, those two characters could probably make it happen, you know? Cassie is sixteen and too mature for her age, Nick isn't that good with people anyway...

And then I remembered. Dakota filmed that movie when she was fourteen.

Now I just feel odd about the chemistry and I very much hope I wasn't imagining it.
So...Would Sam still have had sex with Ruby if she'd come back in the body of an old woman or a man...or is he just essentially attracted to the animated corpse of a brain damaged girl? Do you think he'd have had sex with Katie's Ruby by the same principle? (Because, to be honest, I don't think Katie's Ruby WOULD have had sex with Sam...it's like Genevieve is playing an entirely different character).

I suppose I'm asking...is he attracted to Ruby the demon or just the body she's currently in? Because I just actually cannot get my head around it. I'm honestly just like "WHUT??" whenever the idea comes to mind.

I'm not trying to attack Sam as a character, or Genevieve as an actress (though, I'm not exactly a fan), I just want to KNOW what you all think. Does it baffle any of you as much as it baffles me?
